Shards of Corruption
The fiction and journals on this site come from a live tabletop campaign. This page is the map: the adventure, who runs it, who plays whom, and where other players publish their own work.
The adventure
We are playing Shards of Corruption, an adventure anthology by Eventyr Games. Corruption spreads across Tharisvale; the party unravels its mysteries as they travel from village to city to dungeon. If Salen’s journals sound familiar, that is the spine we are on.
Rules at the table are Tales of the Valiant (Kobold Press), blended with elements from D&D 2024 as our GM prefers — details live at David’s table, not on this site.
How we play
This is a paid campaign hosted on StartPlaying: Shards of Corruption — A Journey Into Darkness.
Game Master: David — decades at the table and publisher at Rempelstiltskin Productions. He runs this campaign on StartPlaying as Rempelstiltskin.
Homebrew Tactics is not affiliated with StartPlaying or Rempelstiltskin Productions. David does not endorse this blog; this is player-side fiction and notes from one chair at the table.
The party
| Character | Player | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Salen Freeblade | D. M. Calder | Witch (Spellborn) — field notes and downtime fiction on this site |
| Zoot | Andy | Bard (Syderean) — music at the table; story and art on Bluesky |
| Lyd | Hunter | Paladin — faith, shield, and the first one into the flank |
| Lex’ii | Kyle | Fighter — quick hands and quicker wagers |
| Keeran | George | Ranger — knows the woods; blades when parley fails |
Salen’s entries are one character’s point of view — not a party-wide recap. Other players may remember scenes differently, or post their own versions elsewhere.
